Expression delete button UI highlight mismatched to activation area

Description:

Capture area for the delete button on an expression is meaningfully smaller than the UI rollover highlight indicating the delete button is active. (See attached picture)

Expected behaviour:

UI highlight of delete button should indicate that the button is available

Actual behaviour:

UI highlight of delete button does not correspond to availability of delete function.

Impact:

Annoying user experience. I.e. say 3 attempts to delete at expression: this is 6 clicks for a user, instead of one as the dialog box triggered to open as a result of the misclick and also has to be closed.

Suggestion:

It would be great to make the activation area increased to match the UI rollover highlight.
